DEADLINE FOR ENTRY is 2pm Saturday, October 28 for 42nd-Annual Security Savings Bank Amateur Photography Show. On view November 14-December 21, 2023. Gallery Reception 5-7 Friday, November 17.


The Buchanan Center for the Arts is pleased to host the 42nd-Annual Security Savings Bank Amateur Photography Show. Categories this year include Agriculture & Farm Life, Animals & Creatures, Capturing Light & Shadows, Faces, the Four Seasons, the Peggy Kulczewski Floral Award, and a NEW AWARD - Wheels.


Awards will be announced at 6pm Friday, November 17. Our juror for this year's show is Matthew Terry of Davenport, Iowa. Terry is a contemporary photographer and graduate of the Academy of Art University, where he attained his BFA-Photography with a focus in Fine Art Photography in December of 2014. Terry picked up his first film camera in 2004 at age 16, and since has exhibited and sold work at galleries in Rome, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Colorado, and Omaha, among others. Additionally, he has had work published both nationally (Iowa, Vermont, New York, and Atlanta) and internationally (Italy and England).
