64 ARTS entries are due Saturday, June 7, 2025. Entry fee is $30 for up to three pieces of artwork. This national juried exhibition showcases visual artwork from artists across the United States and promotes the importance of the arts in the Warren County community and surrounding region. This year's juror is Ian Shelly, Assistant Professor of Art (Ceramics) at Western Illinois University.


This exhibition is open to artists working in all mediums. Works must be original. Works created under the direction of an instructor will not be accepted. Source material must be original and not derived from copyrighted images. Entries must have been created in the last two years. Works previously exhibited at the Buchanan Center for the Arts will not be accepted.

Ian Shelly is an Assistant Professor of Art (Ceramics) at Western Illinois University. He graduated with a BFA in ceramics from Texas Tech University and received his MFA from the University of Missouri. He teaches all levels of ceramics at WIU. Ian is an artist and educator utilizing all media and heritage in the canon of western art and craft. His background in ceramic vessel making and his interests in houses, weapons manufacturing, and childhood touchstones drives his subject matter toward humorous and sometimes haunting permutations and outcomes. Ian’s work has been featured in numerous venues around the country as well as publications within the field of ceramics.
