New Work: Julie Latayan

buchanancenter

Julie Latayan's whimsical collection of clay sculptures captures expressions, form, texture, and color. Her work is made from paper clay fired in a kiln, and finished with a unique acrylic paint technique. Her inspiration comes from the rich diversity of creature peculiarities, actions, and emotions. Her work would make a great gift for any occasion. In addition to exhibiting her work, Latayan teaches clay workshops and is an accomplished carpenter, handyman, wife, and mom. Stop by the BCA — remember to use the "A" Street entrance — and add one of these delightful sculptures to your collection today!
