Many visitors to the Buchanan Center for the Arts gift shop are familiar with Betsy Johnston’s beautiful soft woven scarves, but did you know she is a sewer and quilter as well? Betsy grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains where she wove countless potholders and throw rugs, and was later introduced to weaving while living in Dublin, Ireland. She has continued to weave and quilt to this day, and we are very fortunate to be able to represent her work in our gift shop. Betsy’s scarves are $42 - $52 each, and her quilted table toppers are $20 each. BCA members receive 10% off all gift shop and gallery purchases.
